Welcome to the Edinburgh City Breaks Guide to Edinburgh
Scotland's capital city is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. It manages to combine striking architecture with a range of remarkable natural features - grassy hills and an extinct volcano. Turn around and suddenly see a castle flanked by a rocky hill. Climbing those same hills brings a panoramic view of the city as far to the South and North hills and mountains cradle the city. Not surprisingly Edinburgh is hugely popular as a visitor destination - Manchester Guardian readers have voted it the UK's best city for 6 years running!
